Great Salt Lake: Inseparable from Bear River

Darren Parry, former Chairman of the Northwest Band and the Shoshone Nation, and Great Salt Lake-loving scientist Jaimi Butler will engage a community conversation about Bear River’s essential relationship to the vitality of the lake. Darren and Jaimi are both residents of Cache Valley, deeply connected with the life of Bear River, their neighbors, and local farms. 

When: Saturday, February 11th, 11am-1pm MST

Darren is the author of The Bear River Massacre: A Shoshone History. We highly recommend that participants read Darren’s book beforehand if possible to inform and enliven our conversations.
