For anyone who cares about Great Salt Lake and would like some encouragement to find and foster their voice. You don’t have to identify as a writer, just as someone willing to bear witness to the lake in her time of peril. Together we’ll add some details to the collective praise poem: irreplaceable.

Optional hike beforehand: join us for a guided hike during which we will explore the flora, fauna, ecology and geology of Antelope Island. Led by Utah master naturalist Lara Chho, this event is free for all River Writing registrants. Please consider making a donation to GSL Institute at Westminster. We will meet at the Buffalo Grill in Bridger Bay at noon. Bring layers, water & snacks and binoculars if you have them! We will finish up at the same location by around 2 pm. Dogs on leash are permitted. To register, please text or email Lara at (435) 655-5391, .
